Mmmmm... Opel racing livery.
The Calibra was my dream car as a kid. Growing up during dissolution of Yugoslavia, there really wasn't much around to aspire to, automotively. At least on the street, anyway. And then, one day, a Calibra 'moved into' my street... What a freaking spaceship that looked, parked next to our Renault 4 and my neighbours Yugo and Moskvi. I was in love. Just look at this:

And the speedo went up to 260kph, which meant it could do 240kph. Everyone knew speedos ALWAYS went 20kph over the top speed, duh. :D

Yugo didn't. They were perfectly content dabbling with the state-run economy and working the local markets. It was Herr Bricklin who brought Yugos over the pond via his company IAI .
